Toyota R and W shifters
If you're doing a motor or transmission swap and need a shifter housing for that R154 or W58/55, we've got brand new cast shifter housings to help out.
These housings are 2 1/2" longer then the common MK3 Supra housing. We've found the 2-1/2" extended length to work good for swaps like 240SX (S13-S14-S15), Cressida's, RX7 FC's and others. You can measure for the shifter placement from the back of the block or front of the bellhousing, this shifter will sit at 28-3/8" center line.
The all new cast aluminum housing has no cutting or welding involved on the housing itself, just a one piece casting with the shifter locator pins cast in place. We've also included a new shifter bushing kit with both the main bushing and socket bushing.
Based o OEM fitment, the new machined casting means there's no chance it warped from welding so you can retain your shifter handle and re-use your stock base gasket or just install the new housing with sealant to the transmission.
We have two versions of the housings, one requires you send us the internal shifter bar so we can jig weld it to properly fit the housing. The second version requires you to weld the shifter bar yourself. We do supply instructions and a section of steel bar for the to modify the arm if you plan on welding it yourself.
We do not stock the shifter bars ready to go, so when you send yours in, expect 2-3 days turn around time for the welding.
