Nissan VH45 Alternator relocation bracket kit

Your kit should include:

• 1 Xcessive designed Relocation bracket
• 1 Gates Alternator serpentine belt
• 1 – 10mm x 1.5 x 16 Plated bolt
• 1 – 8mm x 1.25 x 45 Plated bolt
• 1 - 8mm nut
• 2 – 8mm washers
• 1 – 6mm x 1.0 x 20 Flange head bolt

Installation Instructions.

1.        Remove the stock VH alternator, AC compressor, Idler pulley and cast aluminum bracket. Save the alternator and bolts from the old brackets and idler pulley, some of it will get reused.

2.        Your new Xcessive bracket will bolt onto 2 of the holes on the passenger side of the lower crank pulley where the old idler was bolted, you will need to reuse the original 8mm idler bracket bolts. The lower hole in the water block off plate below the head will also be used, remove the 6mm screw on the lower hole. One of the mounting bosses from the stock aluminum bracket on the side of the block will also be used. You can test fit the bracket to find the bolt locations and the required bolting hardware. You will need to be sure all the mounting surfaces are clear of debris.

3.        Bolt up the new bracket. The supplied 10mm x 1.5 x 16 bolt is used on the side of the block on the brackets rear support leg.  The new 6mm flange head will go on the upper bracket to water block off hole on the front of the block.

4.        Install the stock VH alternator. The long stock pivot bolt for the lower tabs on the alternator will be reused along with the original nut. The new 8mm bolt, nut and washers will be used on the upper alternator hole as the clamp screw for the belt tension adjustment.

5.        The new bracket does not use and idler pulley, the alternator itself pivots to allow tensioning of the belt. Install the belt and tighten as required.
