Nissan 240SX S14 Splitter, lip mount Xcessive Manufacturing.com Nissan S14-240SX Front Splitter For Use With Lower Lip ’93-’98 240 SX U.S.A.
Your kit should include:
· 2 Aluminum splitter sections · 7 - 6mm x 90 Plate Bolts · 4 – 6mm x 80 Plated Bolts · 6 - 61.6mm Aluminum spacers · 5 – 56.5 mm Aluminum spacers · 11 – 6mm small washers · 11 – 6mm large washers · 1 mid joint brace · Diagram sheet of assembly
Instructions 1. Putting the front of the vehicle on jack stands will allow easier access for assembly of the lip components 2. The stock lower lip is held in place with nuts from the bottom and studs welded to a steel strip set in from the top of the bumper to lip joint. Start by removing the nuts on one half of the lip, like the driver side. Remove the stud plate strip from the top of the lip/bumper seam where you just removed the nuts. By leaving the nuts on the other half of the lip, it will hold the lip in place while you install the first section of the splitter. 3. There are 7 long bolts and 4 short bolts. 3 of the long bolts go to each outside edged and one will be used in the center where the mid joint brace will go. The 4 short bolts will be 2 per side of the center joint. Follow diagram 1 for placement. 4. We recommend that the bolts are put in from the bottom up so the threads won’t get damaged from road debris. See diagram 2 for assembly instructions of the washers and spacers. 5. After the first half of the splitter is installed, remove the stock nuts and stud plate strip on the other half of the bumper and install the second half of the splitter leaving the center bolt and spacer hardware out at this time. 6. The formed aluminum brace will go under the splitter at the center hole and be attached to the car where the hood latch support bracket is bolted to the core support. See diagram 2. Loosen the bolt for the hood latch support and slip the mid brace between the core support and hood latch brace, barely snug the hood latch brace bolt to allow adjustment in height. 7. Install the center 6mm bolt and spacer hardware through the slot in the mid brace and center joint of the splitters, barely snug the center bolt. 8. With the mid brace now snug to splitter, tighten the hood latch brace bolt. 9. You can move the splitter half’s forwards and backwards to adjust the seam between the two splitter half’s. Once you have the seam how you like it, tighten the center bolt to hold it in place. 10. You can now tighten the remaining bolts. You can adjust the center joint at any time by loosening the bolt and retightening.
