Nissan 240/180 Front Skid Plate Xcessive Manufacturing.com Nissan 240/180 SX Front Skid Plate ’89-’98 240 SX U.S.A.
Your kit should include:
· 1 Plated Steel Front Skid Plate · 3- 8mm x 20 Plate Flange Head Bolts · 3 – 8mm Nylock nuts
Instructions 1. Put the front of the vehicle on jack stands to allow access to the radiator core support and engine cross member. 2. Your new skid plate mounts with the two slots in front in between the tension rod support brackets and the core support. The rear three holes will fit existing holes on the engine cross member. If your cross member doesn’t have the holes, they will need to be drilled. 3. Loosen the bolts holding the tension rod brackets to the core support; they do NOT need to be removed. Slide the slots on the skid plate between the brackets and core support. Do not tighten the bolts at this time. 4. Align the three holes at the rear of the skid plate with the holes in the cross member. Use the three supplied 8mm flange head bolts up from the bottom with the nylock nuts on the top. Some cars have lines running along the front lip of the cross member where the new nuts will be, these lines will move adequately to allow the nuts to line up with the holes. Install all the bolts loosly first, tighten once all have been installed. 5. With the cross member bolts in place, you can now tighten the front core support/tension rod bracket bolts and put your car on the ground. 6. The fit of this plate should not affect the alignment of your car, but having your alignment checked but having your alignment checked after installing most any chassis product is a good idea.
