K-Pro intake manifold

Your kit should include:

·         1 Xcessive designed runner set

·         1 Xcessive Plenum

·         1 Xcessive thermal intake gasket

·         2 Brass hose barbs  (1@3/8”, 1@1/8”)

·         2 – 1/8” pipe pugs

·         10 – 6mm Flange head bolts

·         1 - 8mm x 1.25 x 75 mm fuel rail bolt

·         1 - 8mmx 1.25 x 35 mm fuel rail bolt

·         1 - 58 mm fuel rail stand off sleeve

·         1 - 22 mm fuel rail stand off sleeve

This manifold is not designed to be a direct fit on the RSX. This manifold requires modifications for any installation

1. Be sure the engine has cooled adequately before starting disassembly. Some fluids may spray or leak.
2. Remove or disconnect all factory cover panels, vacuum/fuel lines and hoses connected to the stock manifold.
3. Remove the fuel rail; be sure to save the disc type spacers. They will be reused along with the factory rail if you are using an after market rail, it will re-install in the same manner as on the factory manifold.
4. Remove the rubber air intake tube, unplug the wiring harness and remove the throttle body being careful not to damage the gasket.
5. Unbolt the intake manifold, including removing the steel brackets from the bottom of the manifold to the block. These brackets will not be reused. The top row of manifold bolts has 2 studs, removal of the passenger side stud will allow you to rotate the manifold and clear the accessory brackets for removal/installation of the manifold without removing the accessory brackets.
6. Some of the factory hoses will need to be replaced or removed. The kit comes with hose barbs for the brake booster and boost/vacuum signal. Addition ports are machined into the manifold for other uses as needed.
7. Test fit the manifold and plenum prior to applying any sealant to the plenum. Use a bead of sealant like RTV silicone to seal the plenum to the runners, use the 10 – 6mm flange heads bolts provided for the plenum. Tighten the head flange bolts to factory specifications.
8. Connect and tighten any boost/vacuum or brake rubber hoses.
9. Install the throttle body and fuel rail. The long 8mm bolt and stand off sleeve go on the passenger side of the fuel rail, re-use the disc spacers if using the stock rail/injectors.
10. Plug in the wiring harness and re-install the air intake tube. Aftermarket intake accessories may require modification.

Some modifications may be required to install and run this manifold.
