RX-7 Intake Manifold

Your kit should include:

• 1 Xcessive designed manifold
• 1 m8 x 75mm manifold bolt
• 2 Injector hole plugs

Instalation instructions.

1. If you are only going to use the two outer injector holes (stock locations), then you must plug the two inner holes with the plugs provided. Apply a small bead of sealer around the outside of the plugs and insert the plugs (rounded end first) into the unused injector holes. Use a piece of metal (bolt, socket, etc.) INSIDE the plug to tap the plug in with a hammer. DO NOT hit the plugs on the top end, they will distort and not fit. The plugs should bottom out and be roughly flush to the top of the injector boss.
2. The new m8 x 75mm bolt is used in the upper forward hole on the block flange.
3. In some cases the oil filler tube may be in contact with the throttle shaft and
4. require modification for adequate clearance.
5. Some of the factory support brackets will not be used.

Advantages to the Xcessive intake manifold

1.   Uses stock side feed fuel rail (some fitting may be required) or two to four top feed injectors with our optional rails and injectors. Can be used in place of stock primaries.
2. 13% more airflow than stock without porting or polishing, thick port walls allow for all out race porting and polishing.
3. Guaranteed flow results! Unlike extrude honing which gives varying results from part to part and runner to runner along with weakening the casting walls.
4. Eliminates kinks and restrictions of stock manifolds for balanced airflow between front and rear rotors.
5. 12% lighter than stock.
6. Removed heat riser/EGR passages for reduced thermal soak.
7. Smoothed exterior profile for distinctive ultimate performance look

Due to the power potential of this manifold, we recommend the use of our cast aluminum oil pan to fortify the strength of your motor, reduce housing shift and eliminate oil leaks that follow the increases of power.

Some modifications may be required to install and use this product.
