Nissan 240SX Master Cylinder Brace Xcessive Manufacturing.com Nissan Brake Master Cylinder Brace ’89-’98 240 SX U.S.A
Your kit should include:
· 1 Xcessive designed anodized aluminum brace · 2 – 6mm x 1.0 x 20 Plated flange head bolts
Installation Instructions 1. Be sure the engine/exhaust has adequately cooled before starting installation. 2. Loosen the two nuts that hold the brake master cylinder to the booster. You do NOT need to remove the nuts or master cylinder. The front strut bar may need to be moved to aide in installation (if applicable). 3. The drivers side fender has a canister mounted to the shock tower area. The new brace will use two of the bolt holes for this canister, it will need to be removed. You can hold the new brace to see where it will sit. 4. Slide the brace from the bottom between the nuts and the master cylinder bolt flange, NOT between the master cylinder and the booster. Some model cars have brackets on the master cylinder these may need to be removed or relocated to allow maximum thread for the nuts. 5. Leave the master cylinder loose and install the two 6mm flange bolts through the two slots on the brace into the strut tower. Tighten all the bolts/nuts evenly to allow the brace to pull down. Due to differences in the chassis, you may need to simply tighten the bolts to get the brace to pull down, this is normal. 6. Check the strut bar and other after market items for clearance. There should be no contact with other items. 7. Due to differences in models and options, some cars may require adjustment of lines or wires to keep the brace from touching. Check all lines and wires around the brace for contact and adjust as needed to eliminate all contact. Any contact may cause wear and failure Click here to go back to Articles Index |
