Installation Instructions

1.   Be sure the engine/exhaust has adequately cooled before starting installation.
2.   Loosen the two nuts that hold the brake master cylinder to the booster. You do NOT need to remove the nuts or master cylinder. The front strut bar may need to be moved to aide in instalation (if available).
3.    Slide the heat shield between the nuts and the master cylinder bolt flange, NOT between the master cylinder and the booster. Some model cars have brackets on the master cylinder. The heat shield is designed to work with these still in place if desired. Some brake lines may require adjustment to help fit the heat shield.
4. Tighten the nuts to factory specifications and re-install the strut bar (if needed).

5. Check the strut bar and other after market items for clearance. There should be no contact with other items. The heat shield can be bent or trimmed to accommodate.

6. Due to differences in models and options, some cars may require adjustment of lines or wires to keep the heat shield from touching. Check all lines and wires around the heat shield for contact and adjust as needed to eliminate all contact. Any contact may cause wear and failure
