2 Plated Steel Motor Mount brackets

2 Plated Heavy Washers – 32mm OD, 12mm ID

8 - 10mm x 1.5 x 16 Plated hex bolts

Remove the stock mount brackets from the engine on both sides and be sure the mounting bosses are clean of any debris. Try not to get debris in the bolt holes.

The mounts are universal for either side of the motor and will typically be put on forward set of mounting holes on the block. The slot in the mount allows for X-member mounting point adjustment when fitting in the car to accommodate different oil pans. Use the new supplied bolts to mount the new brackets to the block. A mild thread locker can be used if vibration or loosening is a concern.

Depending on the oil pans configuration, be sure to check the clearance to the back of the pan near the steering rack. There may be power steering cooling lines or a steering stabilizer that needs to be taken into account.

The stock Cressida X-member mounts, (rubber mounts) will need the index pin on the top ground off. The new mounts do not use the index pin and will not sit properly if the pin is still in place. If using Xcessive urethane engine mounts, you do not need to worry about an index pin.

The two heavy washers are for the stud that comes through the bracket. The washer goes on top of the bracket for the oversized slot we’ve put into the new motor bracket.

It’s a good idea to check oil pan clearance when the engine is installed. Soft or old worn mounts may allow the engine to rock too much and contact the cross member. You can add a washer or two between the new bracket and the motor mount to raise the engine if required.
